Lee's Honey
Lee has hives and processes some of the best honey found in this part of the country. We also make soaps and straws of honey.
We are convinced of the value of the healing properties of honey in all forms.
When taken directly from the hive the honey is most potent.
Honey found at the grocery store, and the beeswax found in many products, have been heated, strained and depleted of the many components that are beneficial.
The wax is an emolient and forms a protective barrier and acts as an antibacterial agent.
Our honey is collected and jarred in 4 ounce and 8 ounce canning jars. A four ounce jar is $3 and eight ounces runs $6 plus shipping.
We take orders for Christmas shipping by the case, as well.
To place an order, please email with HONEY as your subject line, and we will invoice you via PayPal for your purchase and shipping. To insure accurate shipping, you must include your zip code.

Lee's Burl carvings
Lee carves with an artist's eye wizened faces that are so real looking you might imagine there is a magical being there. He prefers to carve heartwood from Southern Pines.
Heartwood (the burl, or the knot) is formed when sap quits running through that area, and it is infused with resin. It develops slowly in the center of the tree, and is very hard.
The scale used to measure wood hardness is called the Janka scale-
and the measure for Heart Pine is 1225, compared to Red Oak at 1290.
So to create such in depth fellows (and creatures) takes a very sharp knife
and many, many hours.
Lee utilizes much of the knot's own character in forming his characters.
Prices for each are listed, and shipping is a flat rate $9.20 for each.
Insurance is additional. Each is signed by the artist,
and would be a treasure on any nature table or as
rustic decoration.
As with our honey products,
please email your interest with LEE in the subject line
and we will invoice you by PayPal for the item and shipping.
